How Does Self Balancing Scooter Works?

How Does a Hoverboard Work?

Self balancing scooter or swag board has frames that spin in the center. Inside each wheel there are sensors and electric motors for detecting tilt angle and speed. The gyroscopes get the data from the inclinometer or tilt sensors present in the wheels and pass it on to the logic board, keeping the board straight throughout. There are buttons under both the foot pad that activate an infrared LED light, which also activates a sensor. The light continues to glow when the rider keeps their feet on the foot pad in the flat position, allowing the logic board to sense to stop the motor. Once the biker leans forward, the LED light is turned off and the sensor allow the logic board to give signals to spin the wheels, Since the motors are not connected to one another, the rider can take circles in one place.        

The batteries

The batteries are the most important component of self balancing scooter. The logic sensor board is on the opposite side of the lithium ion batteries. This is designed this way to reduce heat. The batteries can be charged up in an hour and half or two. When fully charged, you can run the hoverboard for 6 to 7 hours, based on your body weight. As the speed and motion are all controlled by the vehicle itself, the only task you are required to do is to decide where you are willing to go and at what speed!  

There have been cases of boards catching fires while people are riding on them. This happens mostly due to poor lithium-ion battery insulation and position, resulting in spontaneous combustion or the reason could also be defective charger. Time to move forward
